Since 6.0 I have had to open wow manually through the wow folder. When I click "play" in the Bnet launcher it waits a minute then gives me the following message:
The CAS system was unable to initialize: ClientHandler: initialization error: failed to create storage component
Any ideas would be great considering I have been searching for a while and kind find any information as it's a pretty specific problem.
Thanks a ton!

Maybe you have no room on the drive to create said storage component? Are you full up?

I saw a similar problem on the tech support forums being resolved by simply moving the WoW folder to the Program Files folder (note: not the x86 folder).

Just fixed this by copying the WoW folder to see if there was any corrupt files. found 2 of them. deleted from the main install and then let the app reinstall them.Originally Posted by Mementomori1993

On Vista, Win7, and Win8, you do NOT want to install games in the program files folder, as it will result in issues like this. Unless you completely turn UAC off.Originally Posted by zorkuus

Make a different folder like C:\Games and install your games in there.
